World Book Day Celebration: Honouring Words and Women Writers

On April 22nd, our school celebrated World Book Day with a variety of engaging activities that honoured the legacy of influential female writers, with a special spotlight on Gabriela Mistral, the first Latin American woman to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature. Students explored her poetry, life, and the profound impact of her work.

As part of the celebration, we held this year’s Poetry Competition, which became a beautiful showcase of creativity, expression, and the power of words. Inspired by Mistral’s poetic legacy, students from across the school submitted original poems that reflected introspection, imagination, and bold literary exploration.

We are proud to announce our top three winners:
– Emma Criollo (3°B)
– Magdalena Torres (4°D)
– and an anonymous poet from 7° Form

A heartfelt thank you to all students and teachers who participated in this meaningful day and helped make it such a success. Your creativity and passion remind us that the future of literature is bright and full of promise.
